As of December 2008, the company has merged with American Leather. This might be a good thing, as this is an excellent company that can make the products faster. American Leather claims to be able to turn the products around in 30 days. We recommend contacting American Leather to get more information on where to purchase John Charles Designs products.

John Charles Design Furniture is one of the boutique upholstery companies that we love.  They are still making furniture in the United States, which to us is a great thing.  They are run by the nicest people, headed by John Genova Sr, who started the company.  The company has achieved many design awards for their innovative designs.  The products are simple, clean-lined, modern and very well-constructed.

The only issue we have with John Charles Design is that their fabric is not always in stock and could cause delivery problems.  When a fabric is out of stock and they have problems getting it from the mill, the lead time can be extremely long.  If this does happen, we recommend using your own fabric.
